With the rapidly increasing risks (civil) and threats (hostile) caused by drones/UAS, the need for sophisticated detection and countermeasures grows. Xubin is currently developing advanced patented technology to enable identification of such drones.

As an alternative to more traditional radar, which gives away its position when in use, Xubin is confirming through field testing its passive electro-optical/infra-red detection system. With proprietary AI powered analysis of aerodynamic signatures it can identify and differentiate in complex environments.

The state-of-the-art algorithm enabled technology performs in  cluttered urban settings, excludes false positives (such as birds), can handle multiple target swarms, and equally well detects autonomous drones without RF comms (including fiber optic guided ones). Xegasus joined Xubin as an early minority angel investor in the summer of 2025; its 4 th drone investment. Xubin is based in Ontaria, Canada.
